Hello everyone!!! A problem I don't like is losing pencils. By the end of the day, I lose at least 2 pencils a day. I have to buy a pack of pencils once a week!!!

Okay, I'm sure you all know about 2012. Apparently, the world will end on December 21, 2012. I have two questions about it. First of all, how will the world end? Will it be by zombies, fire, the Earth blowing up, giant tsunamis, or earthquakes? Secondly, what timezone will it begin on? Who says it is going to be on America's watch?

What I Am Learning In School

Lately, we have been learning about this person called James Armistead. He was a servant for Marquis de Lafayette who was french. James was a spy who had pretended to be a slave who had escaped his owners in order to gain freedom. He had aquired many british plans and periodically gave them to Georghe Washington. In the end, he was honored as a hero and took the name Lafayette while getting rid of Armistead.

Pageant Questions

What has been the most significant accomplishment in your life? Why?

The most signifigant accomplishment in my life was getting straight A's on my report card. I was very proud of myself. My mom showed my report card to most of our family. She was also very proud of me.

If you showed me around your state, where would you take me? Why?

I would take you to the Gateway Arch since it is a national monumeant. It is also 630 feet tall making it the tallest man made monument in the United States. The Gateway Arch has an elevator called a tram that takes you from one end to the other. Near the top of the Arch, there is an observation room that allows you to see everything below you.

In Science, we are learning about tectonic plates and how they move, collide, divide, and slide from each other. We had to learn about how volcanoes, earthquakes, and new ocean floors are formed.

Voltaire was a writer who believed in freedom and said,“I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” What I think he meant when he said that is that even though he doesn't agree with what you are saying, you have a right to say it and no one can take that from you. Basically he is repeating part of the first amendment.

The CTFxC is a YouTube channel made by Charles Trippy and his fiance Alli Speed. They own two dogs named Marley and Zoey. They upload a daily video log (Vlog) to YouTube. I enjoy watching them.  

Things That Annoy Me

The first thing that annoys me are shoes!

NEGATIVE=Everytime you grow, the shoes don't fit. If it rains, the shoes absorb the water and make your feet wet. If they rip, rocks get into your shoe. They sometimes give you athlete's foot.

POSITIVE=They protect your feet.

The second thing that annoys me is the sound a straw makes when the cup is almost empty.

NEGATIVE=It drives me insane! It hurts my brain! Even when the container is empty, it still makes that sound!

POSITIVE= It tells you its time to get a new drink.

The third thing that annoys me are spiders!

NEGATIVE=Some are poisonous, most bite, and all look scary.

POSITIVE=They eat flies and other bugs.

The fourth thing that annoys me is static electricity!

NEGATIVE=It scares me when it happens. It makes the part that got shocked itch.

POSITIVE=It shocks the other person too.

The fifth thing that annoys me are nosy people!

NEGATIVE=They want to know everything that happened and tell a lot of people about it.

POSITIVE=You can find out stuff easily.

On November 11th, 1918, there was a complete stop to enemies during the First World War. Back then, it was known as The Great War. The day was known as Armistice Day. After World War II, it was renamed Veteran's Day which is a holiday representing American veterans of all wars.

BR: Last Bell Ringer

On the last bell ringer I used Blogger. I chose this program because I'm not used to all of the others, except PowerPoint. I enjoyed getting to choose what I was allowed to work on. It was more fun being able to choose what I got to work. I honestly wouldn't have changed anything about it. It was very interesting.

The Making Of The Declaration Of Independence

The  first draft of the Declaration Of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson. It was edited by Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and one other. It was then signed by everyone in the Continental Congress starting with John Hancock who signed his name the largest. The Declaration Of Independence was finally mailed to King George III as a "break-up" letter.

Bell Ringer 1!!

This post will be about the 1970's. People in the 1970's cared about the environment a lot. There was a woman's movement happenig. There was also an increase in exploring space. During the 1970's, there was an acceptance of some of the 1960's trends. American culture flourished during the 1970's.
